Flattened Weighted Draft Lottery for Teams Finishing 4th-12th
While teams finishing 1–3 would draft the next year in reverse order, teams finishing 4–12 would enter a flattened weighted draft lottery.
The lower the finish, the higher the percentage chance for a higher draft pick in next year’s draft. You are not guaranteed a higher draft pick for finishing the previous season in a lower standing.
12th, 11th, and 10th place: 15.9%
9th: 13.6%
8th: 11.4%
7th: 10.2%
6th: 8%
5th: 6.8%
4th: 2.3%
The lottery would be decided within a week of the final day of the season (preferably the day trophies are awarded) to give ample time to plan for draft day.
