I love honest open smiles, kisses from a child…
tomatoes on the vine, and onions.
I am subscribed to the Daily Reading email from Ransomed Heart Ministries, and I recently received one that really stuck with me (although they are always very good). Here is an excerpt:
“Everything you love is what makes a life worth living. Take a moment, set down the book, and make a list of all the things you love. Don’t edit yourself; don’t worry about prioritizing or anything of that sort. Simply think of all the things you love. Whether it’s the people in your life or the things that bring you joy or the places that are dear to you or your God, you could not love them if you did not have a heart. Loving requires a heart alive and awake and free. A life filled with loving is a life most like the one that God lives, which is life as it was meant to be (Eph. 5:1–2)” From Waking the Dead by John Eldredge
I’ve been thinking about the things that I love. I think it would be awesome to start an ongoing list of those things. I have a book called “14,000 Things to Be Happy About” which is a huge list of things that make the author happy. I’ve always loved it. It is fun to flip through when I’m having a bad day. I need to be reminded sometimes of those things…the one John Eldredge says make a life worth living.
I love sitting by the creek at my grandmother’s property in the mountains. I love the thrill of riding roller coasters. I love my children’s laughter. I love reading (and smelling) a good book. I love driving with the windows down and the stereo blasting. I love falling snow. I love seeing a smart car. I love Coca-cola. I love finding old friends through Facebook. I love the color pink. I love all things Twilight. I love waterfalls. I love hugs. I love the smell of rain, fresh-cut grass, babies, baking bread, and puppy breath. I love pedicures. I love laying in bed and cuddling with Elijah. I love white water rafting. I love chocolate malts. I love taking walks with my husband. I love blue jeans. I love feeling pretty. I love Sonic ice. I love fun hats. I love old Mustangs. I love burning candles. I love cereal. I love watching movies. I love quoting movies. I love the way Brian makes me laugh. I love creating things. I love the colors in the fall. I love Cake Wrecks. I love the possibility of growing our family through adoption. I love sitting in the hot tub. I love silly socks. I love lotion from Bath and Body Works. I love the way Elijah says “Luigi.” I love horses. I love singing. I love my family at Tusculum. I love baking. I love mountains. I love this list!!!!
“I Love” by Tom T. Hall

I love you 2! More than you. This is a great idea about starting a list of things you love and keeping it close for a reminder when it is much needed (more often than I care to think).
